Accreditation Solution
ASSESSMENT-BASED CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS (ACAP)
As of June 30, 2024, I have successfully led my employer's strategic initiative to develop two Assessment-Based Certification training programs designed to meet I.C.E. accreditation requirements.

This effort began with comprehensive needs analyses, forming the foundation for all subsequent activities. Utilizing the Backward Design methodology, I developed comprehensive instructional design plans and rigorous summative assessments for each training course. Successful completion of these trainings and their associated assessments will result in certification, attesting to participants' proficiency in implementing the IWBMC (a specialized behavior model) with fidelity.
In addition to employing the ADDIE and Backward Design models of instructional design, I authored the Participant Manual and the Policy and Procedure Manual for the training programs. Concurrently, I coordinated various tasks to ensure stringent compliance with relevant standards, strengthening the groundwork for the accreditation process.
The summarized project timeline below illustrates the phases of program development.

Needs Analysis Example
The Assessment-Based Training Programs I developed for accreditation were grounded in comprehensive Needs Analyses, which informed every aspect of the course design. These analyses provided key insights that shaped the course content and led to the development of a summative assessment that meets national accreditation standards.
For your review, I have included one of the Needs Analysis reports. To protect privacy and proprietary information, I have replaced my organization’s name and substituted references to its trademarked model.

Strategic Plan Solution
Georgia Department of Education Compliance
As Assistant Director with HAVEN Academy, I led a comprehensive initiative to align our program with the Georgia Department of Education’s (GaDOE) Strategic Plan. When I began my work, our program's proficiency in the six focus areas required by the GaDOE was below 50% despite having a dedicated team and strong foundational practices.
Through a thorough needs analysis, I identified critical gaps in accountability and process consistency. In response, I developed and implemented new processes and designed targeted training programs, including Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) training, Creating Defensible IEPs, Treatment Planning Process, and the Reintegration Process. These trainings equipped our team with the necessary skills to apply the refined policies effectively.

Transformative Results:
Our initiative resulted in a 115% improvement in program proficiency, and for the past five years, the program has consistently maintained a 99% rating, demonstrating the long-term impact of these strategic improvements.

Strategic Analysis
The example below is one excerpt from the needs analysis and Program Solutions report developed during the Strategic Plan Initiative. The examples illustrate how I applied a structured approach to identifying critical gaps in student reintegration, a requirement for Focus Area 5 in the GaDoe strategic plan. The comprehensive solutions noted in the slides below significantly improved outcomes and reduced recidivism for students reintegrating into their local schools..
